55 words to a Giants season

Sep. 21st, 2010 | 11:34 pm

Giants baseball, torture. The highs, the lows, the murderous rage. Cain getting Cain'd. The ribeyes. Zito is 109. Happy Timmy day, should he cut his hair? Jazz hands. Pat the bat and Huff the magic batsman. Bork! Losing, but only allowing one hit. Twice. Here come the Rockies. Humidor. There's magic inside this thing.

Everyone wants to be Christopher Walken

May. 6th, 2010 | 02:58 pm

Title: Everyone wants to be Christopher Walken.

Synopsis: Christopher Walken is probably the most known celebrity immitated by people. His distinctive voice and hand gestures make him easy to emulate. There are scads of clips across youtube with people from Jay Mohr doing perfect impressions. I have an idea that would follow a man who does a weekly podcast/webcast/youtube type thing as Christopher Walken. He speaks and sounds exactly like him. Maybe he does it through cartoon or movie clips with voice overs. Maybe he dresses up like him and tries his best to look the part. He is run of the mill nothing special person. Then his world starts to slowly collapse. His girlfriend leaves him. His job cuts back his hours. His friends distance themselves from him. The world as a whole turns in on itself so he turns to the one thing that is substantial in his life, his Christopher Walken impersonation. He starts going a little crazy with his 'shows'. Being more controversial in his rants and ravings. It draws more attention for the bizarity that it is in its own right but also for being done as Mr Walken.

I haven't thought much about it beyond that. Just thought it up last night. I thought I'd be an interesting thing to try and write. I was trying to make it nothing close to "Being John Malkovich" because that was just too weird and I didn't want to copy cat. I was hoping of writing in an extreme version of the real Christopher Walken as he's interviewed about the webcast show as it becomes more popular. I have no idea where the story would go beyond that and how it would be considered more controvisial or crazy than original but I guess that would be the development of the story. I just thought I would write it down, see if I can come up with something and go from there.

My new favorite/most annoying phrase

Mar. 2nd, 2010 | 09:06 pm

I'm sure its not new but I have just realized/heard it for the first time in the past few weeks and it is so annoying and stupid when I hear it that I have to say it because it sounds so ridiculous.

And the phrase is...

-drum roll-

"Fuck that noise"

-bows-

Isn't it absolutely ridiculous? I know I know I'm probably so late on the bandwagon of this but its like...horrible. So horrible its AWESOME! I have to try and use it as much as possible and make it as regular an occurance as "TWSS." Don't you wish you knew me in real life?

musica: Untouchable Face - Ani DiFranco

She's beautiful in her simple little way
Who am I to love you that much
don't think twice, its alright
like romeo and juliet
its like forgetting the words to your favorite song

When a tear falls do you think its raining
Did you even realize your eyes were full and wet
The blur confusing until you blink
until you think.

Sitting alone at your desk at the window on the couch
curled up tighter than anything you can imagine
if you just stay like this it cant get in
dont worry you're safe

When do you think you'll come home?
What time did you say you'd finish, again?
I guess I'll just wait then.
Let me know when you're done.

The fool sits and waits.
The user takes their time.
The world keeps on spinning.
Nobody knows the difference.

I'm almost done.
It won't be long.
I'll just be a few more minutes.
Okay, be right there.

The fool is always waiting
The user is always taking.
The world is always moving.
And nobody knows the difference.

Alternate Universe Me

Jan. 19th, 2010 | 06:21 pm
musica: What if no one's watching - Ani DiFranco

So this is me but in an alternate universe. You know, those types of universes that are exactly like this one but slightly different. The kind of differences that lead to the making of that really bad Gwyneth Paltrow movie. But don't worry I won't start talking in an awkward british accent or get my hair dyed and marry some horrible british singer and have a kid named marmelade or fruitopia or whatever.

Today I read a book. Start to finish. Cover to cover. Front to back. I read all of the pages in the book. I read every word in the book. I read the publishing information and the author's biography. I read the Epilogue, the Introduction, Each Chapter and the Prologue. I read about other books that the author had written. I read how much each of those books cost and how long it would take for me to get them. I read about special offers that were included if I were to purchase those books as a bundle. I read the summation on the back cover of the book. I read other author's opinions as well as some news critics on the book. Today I read a book. Start to finish. Cover to cover.
